About Michele

Michele (or Shelly, as many know her!) has a love for all things travel, celebration, and creating meaningful experiences. As the owner of Sea & Story Travel Co., she brings a unique blend of creativity, organization, and attention to detail into every trip she plans.

Her background began in the world of events—starting with culinary school and evolving into years behind the scenes of theater and pageant productions as a stage manager, choreographer, and traveling for national competitions. Most recently, she served as an in-house event and wedding coordinator for a local brewery, where she worked with teams of all sizes to execute seamless, memorable events.

These experiences shaped her ability to manage moving pieces with ease and focus on the details that truly matter. Today, she applies that same approach to travel planning—creating stress-free, thoughtfully designed vacations to Disney destinations, Universal, cruises, and family-friendly getaways. Having experienced the magic firsthand (including running her first RunDisney race), Michele understands how impactful a well-planned trip can be for families.

In her personal life, Michele is married to her lifelong friend, Kyle, and together they are raising three amazing children. She loves adding a little Disney magic to everyday life—especially through holiday decorating and her growing tumbler collection.

She has also been recognized for her dedication to service, including honors from the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation and the Miss Connecticut Scholarship Organization.

Based in Central Connecticut, Michele is passionate about helping families plan vacations that feel effortless, memorable, and truly special—because the best trips become the stories you tell for years to come.
